Bunny Kathie makes waves outside the Miami Playboy Club, which opened in May 1961 on the corner of 77th Street and Biscayne Boulevard. Magic City was also home to the oceanfront Playboy Plaza Hotel on Collins Avenue, where Bunnies donned two-piece bikini uniforms complete with matching Rabbit ears and fluffy cotton tails. Celebrities were not an uncommon sight among the guests at both locations. In fact, Larry King famously met Alene Akins when she was working as a Miami Bunny; they ended up getting married—twice.
