It was an eventful week down the Rabbit Hole! First, an important question: Wen website? Answer: NOW. That’s right, allow us to introduce a brand new website to celebrate and communicate with the Rabbitar community: www.playboyrabbitars.com.

To celebrate the launch, we’re offering a special 20% discount code for all products on Playboy.com (the new home for the Rabbitar website). The code was created for Rabbitars and will be active for 24-hours, beginning Friday April 22 3:59pm PT / 6:59pm EST through Saturday April 23 at 4:01pm PT / 7:01pm EST. A crypto-native, web3-compatible website that’s integrated with Playboy’s larger digital ecosystem is a big part of our plans. That said, we know that consistent and centralized communication about our decentralized community can’t wait for the perfect website. So, we created an imperfect one!

This new web2 HQ will supplement the Discord server as a place for updates, content and programming with the Rabbitar community while we work towards a future 3.0 version of the site.

A key part of this and any future iterations of the Rabbitars website will always be celebrating the Rabbitars themselves. For a deeper dive into our community, check out the DeRabbitives and Community & Team sections of the site.

WEEDMAN by Playboy x Slimesunday

On 4/20, we unveiled WEEDMAN, the latest NFT collaboration between Playboy and Slimesunday. We’veloved Slimesunday’s work since we featured him in the magazine, but this collaboration with the artist was extra special because our first foray into Web3 and NFTs was with Slime almost exactly one year ago with the release of Liquid Summer.

Speaking of Liquid Summer, we reunited with Nifty Gateway for the WEEDMAN drop, which took place Thursday 4/21 with 42 editions available. The collection was a collectors-only drop open to Slimesunday and Slimesunday x Playboy collectors with NFTs on Nifty Gateway.

How do our Rabbitars fit in? We’re celebrating the drop with a cannabis-inspired Hare Drop (Hare Drop 003). As a refresher, Hare Drops are surprise airdrops tied to specific Rabbitar traits. A snapshot of current Rabbitar hodlers’ wallets was announced on Wednesday, April 20th at 10am PST / 1pm EST and will be captured one week later on Wednesday April 27th at 10am PST / 1pm EST.

More About WEEDMAN

The artwork featured in WEEDMAN is a re-imagination of a Playboy Sunglasses ad from the June 1982 issue of Playboy featuring the effortlessly cool Renauld White (Fun fact: White is known as the first Black model to be featured on the cover of American GQ).

To celebrate this collection, Playboy and Slimesunday will be donating $10K to the Last Prisoner Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cannabis criminal justice reform. Nifty Gateway also supported the donation by waiving a portion of its platform fees.

This drop is Part 1 of a future 1/1 version of WEEDMAN: The lucky collector of the 1/1 will also receive a physical WEEDMAN sculpture soaked in resin.

Playboy Rabbitar Survey

And finally, a quick update on the Rabbitars Survey. We recently shared an in depth questionnaire to streamline and expand on the thoughtful feedback and suggestions that the community continues to share on Discord. We received over 500 responses and are in the process of aggregating all of the feedback. While this is by no means the last time we’ll ask for your input, the responses will directly inform the work we are doing with Nightshift and the next chapter in the Rabbitar’s journey. We put a lot of thought into the questions and the survey wasn’t short! We really appreciate everyone who took the time to respond.
